About Russell Brown, LMFT 
Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern

"I believe relationships impact every part of our lives. When the relationship is unhealthy, it can spread to our work-life, family-life, spiritual-life, and beyond. Healing relationships improves our attachments creating greater satisfaction and promoting a stronger self-image. This is why I believe being proactive in our relationships is so important. It brings me joy every time I see an individual or couple work through those issues to connect, heal, and move forward in a more satisfying relationship."

Russell has experience with a wide variety of clients including: couples, families, children, college students, and adults. He counsels from a Choice Theory perspective and Cognitive Behavioral Theory providing Christian and secular counseling depending on the desire of the client. His specialties focus on marital, premarital, and relationship issues.

Russell was born and raised in Ridgecrest, CA and moved to Pensacola, FL in 2012 where he reconnected with his childhood crush. They married in 2017 and journeyed to Abilene, TX to further their educations. Russell finished his Bachelor of Science in psychology in 2019; earned his Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling Marriage and Family Therapy in 2021; and was awarded the Graduate Studies Award of Excellence from Hardin-Simmons University. He has also received his Master of Arts in Family Ministry from Logsdon Seminary in 2021. That same year, Russell and his wife, Hannah, returned to Pensacola where they welcomed their first son in October. ​
